NDA Exam Eligibility
Nationality
You are eligible to apply if you are:
• An Indian citizen
• A subject of Nepal
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Age & Gender
• Age Limit: Minimum 16½ years and maximum 19½ years
• Gender: Open for both boys and girls
• Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible
Age Limits for NDA 2026
• NDA 1 2026: Candidates must be born between 2nd July 2007 and 1st July 2010
• NDA 2 2026: Candidates must be born between 2nd January 2008 and 1st July 2011

SSB INTERVIEW Stage -II
The SSB Interview is a 5-day selection process conducted by the Indian Armed Forces to choose candidates with Officer-Like Qualities (OLQs). It tests your personality, intelligence, leadership, teamwork, communication skills, and mental strength.
Important Points
After clearing the SSB Interview, candidates undergo a comprehensive medical examination conducted by the Armed Forces Medical Board. This ensures that candidates are physically and mentally fit to join the National Defence Academy.

1. Medical standards vary slightly for Army, Navy, and Air Force.
2. Candidates who fail may apply for a Review Medical Board (RMB).
3. Only medically fit candidates are allowed to join NDA.
Training After Clearing NDA Exam
Once you clear the NDA written exam, SSB interview, and medical examination, you join the National Defence Academy (NDA), where you undergo rigorous training to become a commissioned officer in the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
3 years of training at NDA, Pune
Integrated academic + military training
After completing NDA, cadets proceed to their respective service academies for pre-commissioning training
NDA cadets receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹56,100 during their training at the National Defence Academy and later at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy (INA), or Air Force Academy (AFA).
